NOSH Live | Pitch Slam | Summer 2018
The NOSH Live Pitch Slam is an opportunity to pitch your natural, sustainable or better-for-you packaged food brand to the NOSH Live audience (food companies, investors, consultants, brokers, suppliers, etc) and our judging panel (to be announced at a later date).

Selection Process
Project NOSH staff members will select Finalists based on the strength of their applications. All selections will be made after the application deadline. Finalists will not be selected on a first-come, first-served basis. Decisions by the selection committee are final. Application deadline is Friday, May 11.


Pitch Slam Format
Five brands will be named Finalists and given the chance to present to the judging panel at NOSH Live on Monday, June 4. Each presentation will be 4 minutes long, followed by direct Q&A with the judges, who will select a winner announced at the end of the conference.

Prize
Besides the distinction of being the NOSH Live Pitch Slam Winner, the winner will be awarded a $10,000 prize.

Applicant Criteria
Companies must meet the following criteria to be considered:
  • Brand revenue of $2 million or less.
  • Company funding of $1 million or less.
  • Company must be in good legal and financial standing (e.g. not in bankruptcy protection).
  • Company must have the US as it's primary target market.
  • Brand must be a natural, sustainable or better-for-you product, crafted with consideration of it's ingredients and their impact.
  • Brand must be a consumer packaged good currently available for consumer purchase.
  • Brand must be aimed at consumer market, not restaurant or foodservice.
  • Presenting Finalist(s) must be registered to attend NOSH Live Summer 2018.
About the Application
The following questionnaire will provide us, the Project NOSH team, with the information we need to understand you & your brand, and help us decide who the Finalists will be. It is five pages long and asks for basic contact information, a general description of your product and a brief financial and company overview.

We also ask that each applicant also send product samples to our office and submit a short video of themselves. More information on the samples and video application is found towards the end of this questionnaire.

The application period will close on Friday, May 11th. The selection team will not meet until after the application period has closed, giving all who apply a fair shot.


With over 50 applications expected and only a handful of Finalists, we have an incredibly difficult selection job, but at the same time we also understand how busy entrepreneurs are! The questionnaire should take no longer than 10 minutes of your time, even when completed with care. The video is not being judged on production quality (it can be shot on a cell phone or webcam, we just want to see & hear you) and likewise shouldn't take much longer than 15 minutes to create & upload.
